Hypnobirthing is a complete antenatal programme which teaches mums and dads the physiology of a woman’s body during labour and childbirth, the relationship between the mind and body, and how to use self-hypnosis along with other relaxation techniques. It enables the mind to work in harmony with the body, which is naturally designed to give birth, and to replace fear with a calm confidence.

Hypnobirthing is not about preparing you for the perfect birth as we don’t know how each labour will progress. It prepares you mentally in a positive way which is vital for how you feel about your birth experience. It can be used in birthing scenario and adapted in a way which resonates with you. Hypnobirthing is an enlightening course which has positive ripple effects on all other areas of your life!

At this workshop you will learn:

Breathing exercises – this is massively helpful!
The vital role of the hormones and how our thoughts influence their production during labour
How the mind and body work together and why mindset is key for a positive birth experience
Self-hypnosis and deep relaxation
Visualisations and how to use them effectively during labour
About positive affirmations and getting the best use out of them
How to create a calm, protective birthing space
The importance of language and becoming mindful
How to feel confident to discuss the benefits and risks of decisions with your healthcare provider
The protective and supportive role of dad/birth partner, including using comforting massage
A practice regime to support you at home

I used hypnobirthing for my second birth so I know what difference it can make to your birth experience. I went from a place of fear prior to and following my first birth, to looking forward to labour with my second baby! I learned so much about how our mind and body work together as one. A calm, focused mind allows the body to work much more efficiently. I’m so excited to share the knowledge I have with other parents! ❤️

Growing a wee person is such a special time in life. It’s a tiring one too! We all want to take great care of our precious bundles, and look after ourselves as best we can too.
Whilst pregnancy is an exciting time, it can also be a time of anxiety, worry and nerves. I have developed this unique pregnancy relaxation class to provide you with an opportunity to take time out of your busy life to relax and boost your mindset for pregnancy and motherhood. In hypnobirthing, we say that where the mind goes, the body follows. Since we know that the body reacts to our thoughts and feelings, it’s vital that we take care of both.

By combining topics related to your pregnancy and childbirth, exercises to designed around boosting mindset, and experience elements from hypnobirthing, you’re sure to come away from the class feeling positive and relaxed!

This is a great opportunity to chat about your pregnancy with other mums-to-be and learn about the ethos of hypnobirthing in a safe, supportive environment.

It’s an ideal introduction to those interested in hypnobirthing. You’ll discover the logical and scientific reasons behind why hypnobirthing is used so successfully by so many women every year, learn an incredibly effective breathing technique for labour and experience relaxation scripts specially written for use in pregnancy.

Have you seen my pregnancy support group on facebook?

The group has been set up as a support forum to be used throughout your pregnancy and the early days of parenthood. It’s aimed at women who have an interest in hypnobirthing and are looking for support towards having a positive birth experience. I post regularly with interesting information and do regular live sessions. Although there is a general focus towards hypnobirthing, I encourage discussion on any topic you want support in. This is a closed group so is a safe, supportive community.
